Gabriele Weigt
Gabriele Weigt studied special needs and curative education in Cologne and Frankfurt. She has worked for more than 25 years in the field of disability and international development and is managing director of Behinderung und Entwicklungszusammenarbeit e.V. (bezev) and the Institute for Inclusive Development. For more than ten years she has been the editor-in-chief of the Disability and International Development Journal and was lecturer at the Reutlingen and Bochum Universities of Applied Sciences.
Her fields of expertise include the subject area of inclusion and international development with the focus on countries in the global south with particular emphasis on the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities and inclusive implementation of the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations and the sustainability goals contained therein.
